Exponentially Quizzak!!

On 25th August…during our inter school week long fiesta titled MOSAIC..we had 1….day..dediciated to ‘ DIP Pulse’ our annual inter school…quiz..for some reason this year the turnout..was low..and we had just 15 schools participating…As the quiz secretary..i couldnt participate. We had the written prelims…first….Amity and Dps Rkp topped with 25 on 30…followed by dps rohini,dps mathura road….dps VK and dps noida….the finals had 10rounds..of quizzing with AV rounds….with our president Shagun Trisal as the quizmaster of the day…though the quiz was nice….somewhere i wasnt satisfied….with it…Eventually Dps noida…won…with a whooping margin of 40 pts. followed by Either Vk….or Rkp then Amity…Since we as the host school never take the title trophy…we passed it on to the second…team and even Amity coming 4th got 1….Our team concisting of columban finalists.showed their mettle…and 2 of them went on to finish runners-up in The TCS quiz…..ill share the finals of the quiz for ur persual…and hope next year…we have a bigger response…cos…its gonna be bigger than ever bfore..(i guess smthn like columban) …so ppl pls conatct me with ur email ids..and ill send u the invites..as soon as we get the official letter..made..

Well the All india inter-DPS quiz were held at dps noida on the 18th of November,2008 in which 15 DPS schools from all over the country came and participated-Including DPS VK ,DPS Rohini and DPS Noida. The format concisted of 3 quarter finals of 5 teams each…and the top 2 moving to the semis and ultimately the top 4 battling it out in the finals…VK reached the finals comfortably along with Dps Rohini,Dps Panipat Refinery and Dps Vishakhapatnam.Unfortunately our school was KOed! in the firsr tound itself…still..the quiz on contempory India was an awesome one which left me-the Jt.Sec quiz Society totally glued to my position.The quiz masters,Were Mr. Sujith Verkey and Mr.Prashant…winners of the TATA CRUCIBLE quiz…..were a good combo..as Saurabh and Tushaar from VK…floored the audience with their quizzing skills..and claimed the title comfortably..followed by Dps Rohini and Dps Vishakapatnam who were just unlucky to miss out on a second place finish..by 5 points.Overall Organizing the quiz..was a tremendous exp for me…which made me self sufficient and capable of organizing future quizzes in the school.

NOVEMBER10,2008: Its Dps Rkp and my first quiz of the second session…also my first…eco and biz quiz….going as total underdogs…with a new team mate too boot..i was to excited to vist rkp..having heard such a lot about it…Well the prelims..was not easy…and i was sure we wouldnt qualify seeing the intensity the other schools were putting in….but HEAR!!..the comapare announced..New era with 19..DPS VK with 18 St columbas with 17 and Dps Noida with 10.5 had qualified….(even though rkp was on 10.5 too they were descent enuf to let us go through)..i had tears of joy..in my eyes …but then Modern bk road…guys…came crying..claiming they too had points equal to that of us….all my hopes were totally smashed after that…but the econocs president told me tht if we deserved to go we would..we scored 2 on 5 in the tie breaker whereas the modern bk road ppl scored ‘nought’.We were amateur quizzers at that time…and being in the finals were equal to a victory for us….the finals were nice..prateek(new era) and his team just sweeped over with chirag following him(st columabs) …saurabh(vk) was invloved in small incidents with me too..but it was fun to compete with him….so..we came 4th a result we didnt think we could achieve….and that .was the turning point in my career as i have now made it 4 finals in 4 since then..thank inquizition …thnks econocs..and thanx kritika…from econocs..for supporting me….

Well AAGMAN inter school…quiz was somthing i had to fight with my school people to let us go since exams were so near…but then my skills prevailed as we were finally packed off..in a bus with 5 teams and a lame teacher along with us.Came 16th Jan…at nine we were at Siri Fort audi….totally calm …and chilled about the quiz….After a lot of crap by those AAG people…we finally started the prelims…at the behest of Pornob “persay” Mukherjee….who impressed me a lot….the paper was tough..notably quite low scoring..as described by the quizmaster….but we the ‘Assasins Creed’ topped the prelims with 16…leaving the other schools way behind…Good for our school another team qualified for the semis..which has st.columbas., new era public school…Dps RKP…Dps Dwarka….,etc….The Semis..concisted of 4 rounds…with Rkp..topping with 40 pts..andr team from rkp i guess.at 30 and we at 20 qualified..the 4th team from our group to qualify for the finals.was none oder than our second team.though via a tie-breaker…but nevertheless….The other semis…was better i would say…except for the sad elimination of 1 of delhis best quizzers…Prateek Vijaivargia…..The mouth watering…final..had a line up of 2 teams from rkp..2 from dps noida..1 from sardar vallabhai patel….1 from dwarka….1 frm columbas…and some skool which i dnt remeber….Well the finals were really tough..but Chirag and his team made hay early…and took away the trophy,,,unfortunately we couldnt even open our account in the finals..but nevertheless..our oder team…came 4 th in the tie breaker..2nd was dps dwarka..and 3rd was the  school i was takn about..Well the best bad quiz master was srsly….good….and the quiz was a good exp..for me..which i would cherish a lot…
